Green Tomato Relish aka Sweet Hamburger Relish 

24 green tomatoes
4 large green bell peppers
4 large red bell peppers
4 large yellow onions

Seed peppers, cut all into small chunks, grind all of these. Squeeze all juice out 
4 cups vinegar
1 cup water
4 cups sugar (white)
4 tablespoons mustard seed

2 teaspoons celery seed

2 tablespoons salt 
1 teaspoon turmeric powder

Bring all to a boil in large pot and then boil 10 minutes. Pack into hot sterilized jars, seal and process 10 minutes in water bath canner.

Makes 8 quarts, or 16 pints.

Green Pepper Relish

24 medium green bell peppers, cored and seeded
12 medium yellow onions
3 cups sugar
3 cups vinegar  (white)
2 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. mustard seed
1 tbsp. crushed red pepper flakes

Cut up the peppers and onions into small chunks. Grind them up.  Pour boiling water over vegetables. Drain and squeeze out juice. Put them in a large pot. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, cook over very low heat for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour into hot  sterilized jars and seal. Process 10 minutes in water bath canner.  Makes 13 (1/2 pints)
